Age Related Expected Standard  

One measure which the Department for Education uses is the percentage of pupils attaining Age Related Expectations (the broad, nationally-expected level for 11 year olds) or more by the end of Year 6 in Reading, Writing and Maths (i.e. all three). 

KEY 

GLD - Good Level of Development         

PSC - Phonics Screening Check           

EYFS - Early Years Foundation Stage               

KS1 - Key Stage 1         

KS2 - Key Stage 2 

R - Reading       W - Writing      M - Maths       

RWM - Achieved Standard in Reading Writing & Maths
