Uniform

SCHOOL UNIFORM

It is the policy of the Governors that all children wear uniform as outlined below.

  • Grey trousers - short (knee length) or long
  • Plain or vertically pleated grey skirt, pinafore dress, culottes or trousers

 

  • Royal blue sweatshirt (Year 6 Navy sweatshirt)

 

  • Pale blue polo shirt

 

  • Flat black leather shoes (no laces for Reception Class)

 

  • Grey socks or black socks for boys
  • Grey or black opaque tights, or grey or white socks for girls

 

On PE days, your child will come to school in their PE kit.  Please send your child in trainers.  No tie laces for Reception children please - VELCRO fastenings or ELASTICATED laces – You will be informed of your child’s PE day when they start in their new class in September.

All uniform may be purchased with the badge from local uniform suppliers however unbranded uniform in the school colours can be worn.

 

Please label all uniform with your child’s name.

 

JEWELLERY, HAIR ACCESSORIES AND NAIL VARNISH

A watch (not with camera) and plain gold or silver stud earrings are the only acceptable forms of jewellery in school.

 

Children MUST be able to remove their earrings themselves, as the earrings will need to be removed for P.E.

 

Please do not allow your child to have their ears pierced during term time as it is unacceptable that children miss PE and games due to having their ears pierced. 

 

For health and safety reasons no visible hair products (gel/hairspray etc) should be worn.

 

All hair accessories for girls must be blue or black and not fashion statement headwear.

 

Please avoid ‘fashion statement’ hairstyles, including shaved lines in the hair. 

No beading or braids unless culturally appropriate. 

 

We do ask that nail varnish is not worn.
